“How To Get Away With Murder” 3×14 review

HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER - "Make Me the Enemy" - Annalise is determined to get to the truth about Nate Sr.'s murder and will stop at nothing until she does on "How to Get Away with Murder," airing THURSDAY, FEB. 21 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network. (ABC/Kelsey McNeal) AJA NAOMI KING, JACK FALAHEE, CONRAD RICAMORA, KARLA SOUZA, MATT MCGORRY

At one episode away from the season finale, everything gets each time more intense for Annalise and the crew. We still got one episode to discover the truth: who killed Nate Senior? Was it Miller? The Governor? Or it was all orchestrated by Emmett?  We don’t know. The only thing that we’re sure of is that Annalise unravel the mystery.

The episode starts with all odds pointing at Emmett as the killer of Nate’s popps, last episode, the governor handed Annalise his phone records that indicated that he called the cop that killed Nate’s father two hours after she resigned to her job at the firm. Later, Tegan confirmed the record. Also, in some letters that Nate had, Nate Senior descrived that “some slick lawyer” (as if there was just ONE slick lawyer in the whole series) wanted him to fire Annalise. I have to admit that this theory was pretty self-centric from Annalise’s part. I mean, Emmett was bummed that she decided to leave C&G but, that’s not enough reason to murder a man. Later, Annalise goes out with Emmett to see if she can obtain some intel but, it turns out that he wasn’t guilty, the new lead on this case is that Laurel’s brother Xavier Castillo, is behind the murder. I think that is pretty excentric from part of the series to try to explain this whole situation with a character that we don’t know at all but, I guess we’ll just have to trust them.

In this episode, I learnt two valuable life lessons:

1. As my abuelita always said NEVER under any circumstances trust the shady governor.

2. The Castillo family is never fully gone.

Meanwhile, the kids, have a new asignment, recover Oliver’s laptop. Firstly, Connor tries to get it back in court by argumentating and such but fails. Then, with new evidence obtained by his hacking and a LOT of respect, Olivers rocks in court and gets the laptop back. It was nice to see some solo Oliver in action after all this years dealing with attornies. Also I really missed that Connor/Oliver dynamic like how they support each other and are the kings of the court.

After regaining the computer, Oliver discovers a picture of Telesco trying to enter past the firewalls, and behind her, we can see a huge board with all their information and things that hapened that they thought were in the dark. This leaves them pretty concerned.

Also, Gabriel was being annoying (as always) so, Annalise manipulated her into being his nanny. After a very heated fight, Michaela leaves and Asher comforts her.

“I really miss us”

I miss those two too.

Another couple that I really miss is one of my favorites since the beggining of the series. Frank and Laurel.  At first, Frank confesses that he kniws that they won’t be together but, that he loves more that everything her and Christopher. And,he confesses that he would kill anyne who would arm them. However the kid seems fine and that she should forgive Bonnie. In exchange, Frank decides to help her tracking the phone that has been calling her that she suspects is her mother. The number seems to be disconnected. However, at the end, we discover that the cell is not her mother because Laurel recieves a package with her mother’s hair (skin included is super gross).
