This week, the very first episode of the last season of our beloved series, Arrow, premiered and the fandom is head over heels about it!
Even though we’re excited and looking forward to this season, watching it brings a bittersweet sensation of the end. Also, a great factor that changes the series completely is that the main character, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) won’t be there. Even star Stephen Amell confessed it: This season won’t be the without Emily in it.
In this first episode, we experimented with a great deal of nostalgia due to the fact that we travel back to season one: Oliver is freshly back from Lian Yu and he has to fight new threats to the glades daily.
Also, we get to see old familiar faces like Moira Queen, Tommy, and Malcolm Merlyn.
Finally, what I enjoyed the most were some iconic scenes that were recreated perfectly with a twist to add up to the plot. And regarding the people from the future, I don’t care about them really. Of course, they are very rich characters but I don’t care about the plot. Oliver’s story is much more intriguing and captivating and of course, is the one I prefer due to the fact that I’ve been following it for more than four years.
Honestly, this final season is not developing itself in the best scenario ever but I’m sure this will be one of the greatest seasons of this show. Stephen Amell is giving his lifetime performance and I’m proud of how much this show has achieved.
