Is the 26th of April of 2012, fans of all over the world already bought their tickets and are waiting in huge lines to enter the theatre. By now, everyone knows and loves iconic Marvel characters like Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Captain America. However, this is the first time we would watch them all together on the same screen. This new project, is risky, nobody knows how it’ll turn out. Little did we know that 7 years later, on the same date, all the world is yet again buying tickets and making the longuest lines to get to watch one last time all our beloved superheroes together fighting a greater evil. With a simple snap of finguers, the world as we knew it changed forever. And we suffered the casualties with them. Five years later, when a glimpse of hope resurges, the Avengers are tasked with the impossible: to stop the inevitable.
After all this waiting, the day finally arrived! Avengers Endgame, the ultimate crossover directed by the Rousso brothers, is now available in all theatres all over the world! Personally, before watching the movie, I was really concerned about two things:
• First of all, the lenght of the movie. The film lasts more than three hours and I was worried that they would get boring or heavy. However, this wasn’t the case, I mean, is a bit difficult to carry because you have to pay attention to every little detail of the three hours because, EVERYTHING even the movement means something.
•And secondly, I was concerned about people over-hyping the movie. Even since the premiere, all I heard was marvels of it, tons and tons of people saying that it was the best film ever. And naturally, that made me have great expectations, i mean I tried to keep them the lowest but it’s Marvel guys , I can’t control myself.
After all this hestitation, I’m pleased to say that the movie was awesome, I really liked the plot and overall the characters, everything they said was iconic and emotional. The bonds between the avengers that weren’t eliminated by Thanos became stronger. I really loved it although, there were some things that I didn’t like. For example, there was some stuff that happened that was convinient for the plot and Bruce Banner felt like the comic relief of the story and nothing else, he never got a proper closing. Also, I love Carol Danvers but in this movie, she was terribly over hyped, I mean, we were all waiting for her to save the day but she appeared only half of the movie.
On the other side, the crew really outdid themselves, from make up to dresses and music were perfect for every ocasion.
This movie, was a closure and sadly, we finally say goodbye to this group of superheroes and I wasn’t ready for it. Luckily, we’ll still be watching all of our favorite characters on their own. It all starts with Sipiderman: Far from home this July. Tom Holland, I’m coming for you. Avengers, you will always have a place in our hearts, you can rest now.
